About me
My garden is in North Wales. It's high (about 1000 feet), so cool and windy with a rather short growing season and lots of rainfall. It drains well, being on a hillside. The hill is limestone so the natural soil is thin over limestone or limey clay. So a few challenges there! I have a farmer neighbour who supplies lots of free manure: however, I've realised recently that cow manure is probably full of various drugs so I'm feeling a bit reluctant to go on using it. I love traditional cottage garden plants, old roses, clematis. I don't attempt an all-year-round garden, it just isn't worth the effort here. I also have a small vegetable garden, a few hens, some small ponds.
