Just seen Amy’s wonderful collection of Penstemons. Here’s one that arrived in our garden last year, and I would love to know what it’s called please.

Thank you - have posted shrub as a question, but Loostrife commented and thinks it's a Phytolacca Americana.
I think you are correct too about the Penstemon! I'll update my photo - great.

there are so many varities now its difficult to be certain. looks a bit like 'Laura'.
why not post this as a question on the questions page. more people are likely to see it.
same with your mystery shrub, which is driving me nuts as I do know it !
