Kidsgran the hydrangea is in a pot in ericaceous compost to keep it blue as my garden soil is alkaline.
You are right Diane, hydrangeas need a lot of watering!
Louisa the clematis you like is a prolific flowerer and has weathered all the nasty recent winters.
Hywel, I bought this Aster when our garden club visited a garden in Warwick, its one of the few asters that does really well in shade and the bees love it.
