Well, this is just an update from my first blog of 3years ago now and I hope you can see a little improvement on what was hear originally. As you can see I’ve dug two new flower beds, installed a raised bed for the veg.,fitted a small shed and greenhouse, built a new fence(myself)and installed a new hedge(all bought and planted at the same time would you believe!) and put in some flowers etc.!! Can you see the rambling rose trying to climb up
the magnolia? Plus the pic of my mystery tree and poor plum tree. What’s next? Front drive I think inc the lawn which is full of ant hills, wish me luck and hope you all like what I’ve done-still learning!!!!

Tell me about it - most of the 'gardening' I've done this week has been to cut down smashed plants, tread down rocking rootballs and staking things upright again...

Is that a Magnolia tree (pic 6 and others)?

Certainly it is,Kildermorie, called Magnolia Grandiflora and when it flowers, soon with a bit of sun! They are up 9" wide!! We've been here now about three and half years now,so goodness knows how old it is. I was going to have it trimmed but the neighbour beyond pleaded with me to leave it as it is because it gives her privacy at that end of her garden! Must be 20/25 feet tall-will it ever stop growing I ask myself! But once it starts to flower it goes on for ages and they are pretty.

Saw them in the US, very large and massive white blooms with a honey scent, wondered if they grew here! Looks nice and is unusual Jcee.
