New Box plant, when is the best time to start trimming it?

Bought a Box plant a few weeks ago, it is now planted where i want to use it (eventually) as a 2ft high 2ft long wind-break on the very edge of a border. It is about a foot tall at the moment, 6" diameter and very young roots when i planted it out last week. I would like to start trimming it now so it begins to bush out. Is this a good idea or shall i wait a while??

I learnt how to do mine by doing them slowly and never clip the older wood. Good luck

I never trim till May when any mistakes will quickly regrow. I do mine as and when they need it in the growing months.
