Tree peonies in bloom in April!

Hi gardeners,
It is mid April and two out of three of my tree peonies are in bloom already!
One is the perfect pink and the other is pink with a slight lavender tint. They are huge and gorgeous, I’m going to upload a picture when I get the time.
My oldest tree peony about 5 years old is white and has semi open buds and will open in a week or so. The two in bloom are only a few years old.
This is crazy, they usually bloom in June.

Sad news on my big beautiful white tree peony. Yes it bloomed in many, huge, white blooms. 13" across. (Sorry don't know metric). Then a strong wind blew through and a branch broke off. It was pitiful really. I carried that branch with 6 blooms and 16 new buds around like a beloved friend. Slowly walking around the garden with it, apologizing to it for not knowing I had to stake it. I still have two other strong branches with a number of buds but this was the oldest and most dear to me. Am I crazy, I grieve for my plants.

You're not crazy - well maybe you are lol, but you're not alone - I understand how you may feel because I'm just as crazy ! I treat the plants like they were babies :o) I'm sorry to hear about the branch braking off your tree peony. I hope the other branches are not too damaged.

How old are they Julie? I have just transplanted a tree peony - but I've never seen it bloom yet.
