I can't say that I'm a good gardener, but I love my garden - not just the flowers but also the fungi, mini-beasts, and many small animals that have made it their home.

I garden on the heavy clay of the Sussex low weald, just in front of the downs and have just moved house so I have all the joys of treasures to come and the regrets of the many pressies and carefully nurtured plants I've now left behind.

My new garden is full of birds which is new for me - so I am spending far too many hours looking out of the window trying to spot gold-finches.
