Well a few weeks on and at last after all your help and advice MY LUPINS ARE IN THE GROUND (HOORAY).Still a long way to go though as you will see..not looking too cottagey yet..maybe 10 years it will look lush and full :)lol. Notice the blue slug pellets everywhere they definatly do the job!!

Thankyou Marshmellow..what a good idea I will do that for sure...it's hard isn't it to imagine in your head what to plant..I do have some ladybird poppy seeds I will scatter them in between :) thanks again :)

It is coming on well. Your plants look very healthy, especially the holyhocks. They are going to look brilliant next year. I have sown some this year for the first time and I can't wait. It will be looking lush and full before 10 years, I promise. I started with a lot of bare earth and not much money so i grew a lot from seed. Choose what you like but many are very easy, things like Love in the Mist and poppies.. Just get some packets in the spring and sow them around. A few weeks later you have flowers and they seed themselves for next year.
