A Walk on a Cloudy day !

Yesterday OH & I (do I sound like our Queen lol ) went for a lovely walk near where we live the coal tips have all been reclaimed and nature as taken over ,there have been cycle paths and walks created where the tips use to be, though it was cloudy I took some pics of wild flowers don’t know their names ! some look like astilbe , some like lavender but no smell there were scots pines and some sort of spruce that had self seeded ,grasses and rushes they reminded me of my childhood when we would pull the rushes out and plait them , there is an avenue of buddleias for about a mile but I don’t know why we haven’t seen any butterflies on them this year ? the heather is coming back and there is a stream with visiting heron’s and mallards , I saw some wild roses think its rosa the hips were on it already is that early or the norm and can I plant the hips that I collected will I have a plant, I know Goy’s will tell me I am learning so much from you all .have added some photo’s not brilliant due to the cloud but we really enjoyed our walk its an 8 mile circular walk .

They come out as little red X's. Don't know why that is. Probably my computer. I always hit the wrong keys lol.
