What a lovely afternoon my heathers were full to bursting with butterflies, bees ,wasps even a ladybird but it flew away before a photo could be taken the bees were off as soon as I approached them just managed a few photo’s but it was good to be in the garden at last done a few chores and even had a cuppa outdoors so there is a promise of good days to come and I really could do with them .

It was lovely and sunny here today as well. I saw a lot of butterflys in the garden...a lot of them were taking a rest on the pavement getting warm and soaking up the sun. I just hope that this good weather continues for a while so that we can get something done in the garden...btw yesterday some silly B******* decided to trash my garden, throwing garden furniture about, put a big brick through one of the greenhouse panes and generaly making a mess of the place.....one disadvantage of having a garden a bit off the beaten track I suppose.

Lovely photos. I saw my first bumblebee today and I've seen a ladybird on the windowsill inside. It was lovely today.
Rogi- that's awful, what mindless B*******.

Its been grand here as well K'gran, the frogs appeared in the pond, bees were flitting amongst the flowers and I saw my first ladybird, coffee on the patio, what more could we wish for.........

Rather cloudy for most of the day here K'gran, but better tipped for tomorrow.
Your heathers are looking lovely. Glad you enjoyed your day in the sun.

Rogi..I'm amazed I thought Germany had less of a problem with these mindless individuals...seems I was wrong. Hope you can get it all sorted very soon and those responsible are brought to book.

That's awful Rogi - you would think that being off the beaten track you would be safe.
Kidsgran, where would we be without our winter flowering heathers? How nice to see a tortoiseshell - we don't seem to get many of those here, mostly red admirals and speckled woods.None at all so far, but I did see a ladybird yesterday.

I agree K.gran it is so nice to feel the sunshine on your face and to be able to get out without wearing coats, hats, gloves & wellies! Lol. Lovely photos so nice to see the insects enjoying it too & Rogi, so sorry to hear that your garden has been trashed, hope you get it sorted, maybe plant some plants with thorns??!

I agree with you about the bees, the only butterflies I have seen are in the house, and they usually die.
