Turning my rubbish tip into a garden.....

This summers gardening has made great changes to the first third of our garden. We had lots of flowers, Lilys, pansies, sweet williams, hydrangers, azealers and of course our huge sunflowers, all in pots. Also experimented with 2 tomatoe plants which produced a great crop.

The old leaking out building has at last been taken down which has given us a great seating and barby area to catch the last of the autumn sunshine and has given me an ideal area to move my potted plants to shelter over winter.

So future plans include replacing the old fensing around the whole garden, but more importantly to fix a small picket fense across the garden partitioning off the first 1/3 from the rest, mainly to keep Misha (our dog ) from barking at the top fence.

Meanwhile, i’ll be listing and researching some of the most suitable veggies to grow in pots or raised beds.

We’ll continue to clear and clear the top 2/3’s of the garden and building some raised bed ready to plant up after christmas.

I think it's great to have a plan for your patch kimmy...& the time to do it all!! There's nothing better than a place to relax & barby etc surrounded by pots of flowers too...good luck with all your hard work to come.

Good on you Kimmy it doesn't look like the easiest garden to tackle but the phots of your flowers and what you have done so far bodes well for the other 2/3.

Hi Kimmy - welcome to GOY - you've done a lot! OK, there's always more, but hey! when is a garden finished? Mine won't be - ever - as I like a new project or two. :-)
