hi
don’t know about everyone else but it is killing me having to go to work instead of being in the garden, i really need about 6 pairs of hands, my poor husband must be sick of me moaning about getting this done and that, he is making a raised bed for the strawberries and also finishing off the borders, just had another delivery of topsoil, i have still not had my delivery of plugplant from jersey and am getting a bit bothered now, i have emailed them yesterday and am waiting a reply.i have checked and i have definitely lost my standard fuschias which i am gutted about, but i have bought a lovely white hardy fuschia from my local garden centre along with another 3 and i am going back for more, i love fuschias!

Naughty I know, but I do not blame you. I changed career to be at home. I foster children instead. Have a blessed day!

Understandable not wanting to go to work, I was the same and when the package was offered for early reirement I grabbed it. Strange about your fuchia I put two in last year and I have lost both this year, maybe that the standard variety is not quite as hardy as others, I love fuchia as well and I was really gutted when I had to pull them out, it was like pulling teeth! But alas keep up the good work and just grin and bear it your garden is a credit to both of you.

I remember those days when I would have preffered being in the garden . I don't work now but still don't seem to have enough time for the garden. lol.

I've been off work for several years now due to ill health and don't know if it's a blessing or curse. Of course this means I do have plenty of time but I'm usually ill. If I am well enough, I can only usually manage no more than 30-60 mins else I make myself ill, d'oh!

Sorry about your fuschia's, standards are really pretty. I lost all 3 of my old fuschia's this year but have not replaced them. Instead, I've put flowering blackcurrent bushes in! Maybe I'll get one little one in the future! Don't blame you for buying some more tho'!

I lost two fuschias too, last winter was just too hard for them.

I recently had a parcel from Jersey that took ages. Not plants, something else. But because the value was over £20 Jersey Customs held it, sent it to my local sorting office where I had to go and collect it and pay extra duty on it. Hope that hasn't happened to yours but I know that from time to time they do a random pounce on parcels to the UK and charge duty on them.

ah well home again now so will go for a potter although the sun has gone into hiding,... it seems that these fuschias are tricky little things,
hey inverglen can you imagine if they kept my plants in the sorting office they would be dead! i am just hoping it won't be too late when they arrive as they are only plug plants and i haven't tried them before..
