I agree absolutely, don't worry.

The snow is a godsend in the freezing cold weather that we are having. A couple of days ago I had to try and find and lift a couple of swedes from under the snow. The soil was loose and not frozen in any way at all.

Given our latest weather forcast some people might be out with the sandbags this weekend!!! A quick rise in temperature and the possibility of heavy rain is just what is needed for flooding.

My plants will be in a worse state than yours, Ladybug. We haven't had more than a sprinkling of snow here, but heavy frosts instead. Your plants will have been insulated - mine won't. :-(((

I would think that they will be just fine unless they are particularly tender. The snow will be protecting them from the wind and temperature fluctuations and the dead stems and leaves will also help blanket them. Wait until spring and see what happens...you may just be pleasantly surprised.
