nicked apple trees

hey all,my day off today and just went to get some milk from the corner shop and came across a skip,lo and behold there were two apple trees in it,soo i nicked them, they are demolishing a house so i didnt think i did bad, they look like they have been in there pots for a long time so do you think ive killed them by planting them in the garden,i watered them in and put compost and fertilizer in there,i tryed not to disturb the root ball which was realy overgrown in the pots but i tryed to give the roots some space, tell me what you thunk

they have a deep pink/red flower if that helps identify them

They'll trive, why wouldn't they. Lucky u & lucky trees to find a good home instead of death.
It's hard for me to understand the things people throw out.
