About me
I live in South Wales a mile or two from the sea, and the subsoil in my garden is heavy clay with the occasional ammonite fossil embedded in it. They make good paperweights after hundreds of millions of years lying idle in the ground; also, they serve as a useful reminder of the brevity of human life and the geological insignificance of our species. I like plants, too, though they don't last as long as petrified ammonites.
