I am an amature gardener of around 40 years, and am starting to grow vegetables this year (distaster last year because of poor weather and not enough sun) I have a plant that does attract bees and Welsh poppies get the bees going like bees on speed.
I have a small garden with two 'flower' beds to the back where (when the sun is out) gets sun all day until sundown. I would like to know what plants attract bees in greater numbers. My plot is about 15 feet long and about 8 feet wide at its arc. The veg plot is about 8 feet long and about 5 feet wide. I would like info on what flowers/plants to grow attract bees, butterflies and moths I have a small pond that is about to get a make-over as its falling apart and the new pond will be about 6 feet or so long and 5 feet wide and sunk into the ground and hope to have this done in the next 3 weeks. Any help regarding planting to attract bees etc would be much appreciated.
