Ruschia radicans in my garden

Ruschia radicans is a great little mesemb to have in the garden. Mine has made a little mound with time, while slowly spreading outward. Should take light frost and work well in hanging baskets.

Thanks, I am sort of forced into succulent gardening, but given my hobby, NOT A problem! LOL! Basically I extended my hobby into the garden with about 140 species aloes already in there and countless other mesembs, crassula's & family and yes a cacti or 2. LT

A note - garden is still young and will develop lots in the future in all 3 dimensions, only 1.5 years since I dug up the first soil. There was nothing, just grass (if you call it that) when we bought the house. So hope you enjoy the future journey with me. LT

It looks just like a tapestry garden, so many colours and textures and shapes. Just beautiful. Do you have any aeoniums LT - they are quite hardy and I must confess my favourite succulents.

Yep, poppy, how could I not, I actually grew some from seed as well of my own plant, who has white&pink flowers, and not the more common yellows.

I love to see succulents growing outside. They look so natural. I must keep them in pots because of our winters. I've got a similar one to this, called Delosperma.

Yeah, Ruschia stands at about 200 species and Delosperma at another 160 species, then there is Lampranthus, another 200, Drosanthemum, another 120, so they sometimes make things very difficult for id with the reclassification and moving around.
