It’s no secret that i’m a Clematis lover – addict …. no, fanatic is the more accurate word i think !
Princess Diana is my favourite and i wanted to share these pictures with you.
They show the different stages of the bloom, each stage is equally lovely and i gaze at each of them for ages !

This beautiful plant grows on my top lawn area and scrambles through an Aucuba, Eleagnus and Crindendron.
I have a bench in this area and i sit and look over the whole garden, over the fences, down into the town, across to the hills and more importantly ……… a couple of feet away at this little beauty !!!
I just love her :)

Oh, dear - there are so many...I'd need another garden to grow them all in - lol. This is a lovely one, Louise. No wonder you sit and gaze at it!

Mookins!!!! This simply won't do! I am told that the easiest Clematis to grow is C. viticella 'Etoile Violette'.... it's in flower now, and will continue for weeks. It's a lovely dark purple one.

What can we do or say to convince you that Clematis are easy and hardy and beautiful??

oh I know they are all very beautiful spritz and would love them creeping all round my garden but I just worry.
I promise this time next year to have at least....3 different varietis going by the space i have for climbers

This really is a beautiful clematis. I have had mine for about 4 years, and it has survived the heavy snowfalls we have had these last two years. Each year the stems have got stronger, and this year it has come through looking really healthy. It really is one to add to your collection.
