What a beautiful weekend!!!

Well, what a beautiful weekend it’s been here in Lincolnshire! Have tried to make the most of it and have pretty much got the growhouse emptied.
I started hardening things off a couple of weeks ago, leaving the door rolled up during the days and closing it at night. For the last week it’s been open all the time, so thought this weekend I’d make the most of the sunshine. Got the cucumbers and lettuces into the garden and my passionflower re-potted. Also, thinned out the carrots, planted tumbling toms into tubs, planted the mini- sweetcorn into the garden and got my sweetpeas and morning glory’s put in near the fences to brighten it up a little (hopefully).
The potatoes growing in sacks are growing at a rate of knots! And Scott has put my hanging basket bracket back up after it fell off the house the other evening (my poor little fucias got a bot of a shock but they were quickly re-planted and don’t seem to have been affected).
Fingers crossed, in another few weeks the garden should start looking fuller and if it work out I might even feel proud enough to put some piccies on here.

I absolutely do! Growhouse looking very sad and fairly empty but plan to give it a good clean next weekend if the weather holds out. Can't wait till the garden starts producing, it's my first year with a proper garden- I'm so excited!

Oh Louise I didnt realize it is exciting isnt it? I can still remember my first crops and how we loved eating them. Filling the freezer with runner beans and making chutneys and jams even wine, and omatoes stuffed in drawers to ripen.

I can feel your excitement Louise and I`m sure it will mount as you get closer to eating all that lovely produce. Look forward to seeing some pics.

Louise you`re right its been a scorcher,I `ve been out in the garden surrounded by the noise of children in paddling pools and the smell of the barbeques, its grand, my garden is so dry I`ve even had to soak the ground before I could plant anything and my bottom lawn already has cracks appearing.
I hope your garden does well for you Louise and be brave put your photo`s on, lol.....

I second all the comments above Louise. Well done. I am in the same position having emptied my greenhouse too. I had to get the hose out last night too, as my waterbutts were empty.
