Well its been a busy weekend in our garden and as usual my theory about growing a few potatoes and tomatoes this year has run away with me. Aside from those yesterday we set up 2 raised beds as well as the area we had already cleared and seem to now be growing carrots, squash, courgettes, peppers, radishes, beetroot, cauli, chard, cabbage, chillis, spring onions, runner beans, lettuces and i’m sure the list won’t end there. Of course the trouble is fitting it all in. We got some free seeds from a newspaper offer and also the BBC Dig In seeds aswell as a few bought here and there so i’m just hoping for sucess. I must say I was quite chuffed with the finished project mainly because i did all the hard slog wheras usually i let the OH do the hard bit! Here’s the before and after’s…
Well thats me for the night – feel a hot soak in the tub coming on to ease my garedning injuries lol….night night

Looks great......what is that you have spread around your beds? Is it bark mulch?

thanks! The woodchip round the beds is hardwood terracotta chips chosen by hubby. Have still yet to paint the raised beds but that can wait til the weather improves so i don't get blown away trying to do it!
