For those of you out there i have found a wonderful book, in a charity shop in Skipton. the title is Plant author is Janet Marinelli.Its endorsed by Kew gdns. What an insight to the world of plants! This is no ‘how to grow a cabbage’ book but more into the origin, its natural habitat and plants that are under threat. suggestions on how to ensure their survival and also a very useful section on conditions needed for plants to grow well in the garden.
first published in 2004. highly recommended!!Hope you can track it down, maybe on Amazon? Lynda

I like books that give a bit of background to the plants. I find it can be a bit boring otherwise. Enjoy your book :o)
