Retired teacher with a garden stuffed with perennial plants and shrubs. Did have an allotment many years ago but, as I tend to be away a lot in the Summer travelling, homed in shrubs and flowers grown informally in a cottage style of gardening. Have a fair sized garden, but never enough room to grow all the plants I would like to see there. My gardening gurus are Christopher Lloyd, whose "Well Tempered Garden" was an inspiration when I first read it, and Graham Thomas, whose "Perennial Garden Plants" is a constant companion.
