Me, the Veggies, Kids and a crazy Labrador!!

Well all, have had a crazy week, weather here has been awful, one minute sun splitting the trees, the next you would think it is monsoon season!!

My poor wee veggies, don’t know what to do, my cabbages are loving this weather, the lettuce aren’t sure what they want to do, take feet and walk out or just stay put. My courgette plant, God love it dosen’t know whether it has been sent to an Amazon rain forest or somewhere in the Sahara!! My peas are loving themselves as are my runners and french beans, but my poor nastursiums and my bumble bees, well that is another story altogether.

Have been thinking about what you all posted on my last blog, as i would love to have some veggies to pull over the winter so i have purchased some kale transplants, i know it is cheating a bit, but hey, this is my first year at this and i have to learn. The kids and i have dug over a plot for them where we had previously had lettuce and spring onions, so i hope they will be happy in their new home. That is if my crazy labrador can give them peace!! he has taken to my flower pots, he is very pickey now not any old plant will do!!, firstly it was my azalea which got it, then he decided my sweet pea looked tasty and last but not least the pot of beautiful red nastursiums which i had cherished. The kids and i had grown these on a seed tray in the kitchen window and looked after them like babies. Some babies they are now!! think i am going to have problems even getting some seed off them for next year.

Well, i guess, enough of my whinging, am just about to go out and decide what greens they are going to get for tonights tea and that blooming dog will have to eat any left overs!! lol
