Storm Damage

This beautiful Laburnum on the green in front of our house was uprooted during the storm we had on Thursday night.
These are a few of the remaining plants in the garden. All the containers have been emptied ready for the winter pansies etc. Another job waiting to be done !!

that is such a shame, though it does look as if it was starting to rot at the base.

Hello Eileen how are you? Hope your op went o'kay.
The base of the tree was absolutely rotten. I think the Tree Surgeons will be looking at other trees on the Green any time now.

The anemone is Honorine Joubert . It is a bit of a rogue, I thought when we put the membrane & pebbles down that I thought I had removed all the roots but no so little plants keep appearing everywhere !

You still have some nice plants Marjorie. It's good when they last well into the autumn.
Shame about the tree but the trunk loos a bit rotten so wouldn't have lasted much longer.

I am doing really well thank you; itching to get in the garden but meant to have a 4 week break; minimum.

Oh what a shame, it looks to have been a beautiful tree. Keep taking things easy, don't be tempted to rush things.

Oh what a shame - it will surely be sadly missed.Your plants are looking good though, especially the Anemones - are they Honorine Jobert? I do like the white ones.
Splendid peppers too - enjoy!
