Minsterley Show

I did intend to write just one blog about the show, but i couldn’t upload any photos at the time, so i wrote the blog “Minsterley Show & Experiment”. I somehow managed to record a short video with my camera and put it on you tube, then get it on the GOY blog. I must admit i had no idea that this was possible until recently, after seeing some you tube stuff in others blogs.
One of my plants in the horticultural tent, this won 1st.
This is a Fuchsia called Delta Sarah on display in the horticultural tent. It was Delta Sarah that i had ordered from Thompson & Morgan recently, but they sent plants all labeled wrong – so i haven’t got it – yet, i will from elsewhere. Warning, if you weren’t aware, avoid Thompson & Morgan. Other GOY members have also had problems with T&M.
A steam tractor (if that’s what they’re called) this is a photo of the one in the video on my other blog.
A Tractor in the ring (i think it’s a Fordson, same as Ford)
MG – a real MG, an older one so must be a real British MG (before the chinese swiped them)
A Morris Minor van – these headlights always remind me of eyelashes. lol.

I was only taking pictures between the showers as i didn't want to get the camera wet. On times it poured, but it could have been worse, at least we could dodge the showers. getting good practice at that these days. lol.

Congratulations Mark on your award. Your exhibits look wonderful.
Also great photos of the vintage vehicles- the Morris Minor van brings back happy memories of my very first car..... a 1954 Morris Minor with a split wind screen made from two pieces of glass and arms that shot out from the sides that lit up when I turned right or left. It was a fantastic car but not much power..... only 803cc!

I like to see to older cars going round the ring, but i must admit sometimes i do think whats that doing there that's not old - but then i have to admit, well it probably is now. Some are older than i remember on the roads, but some i've seen driving round and it only seems like yesterday.
Thank's for everyones comments, very kind.

That was a really lovely picture of the Fuchsia "Deltas Sarah" and as you mentioned some of the members have had trouble with T&M well i have too.
There Fuchsias are terrible and inferior and last year i got some fuchsias from them in the post and they arrived looking brittle and very tiny, most of the potting mixture was missing from them and they would never grow in time for the summer, what poor pathetic fuchsias T&M send out to loyal customers these days and i will not order any more from this rogue supplier.

Hello, wow, I'd forgotten about growsonyou. It was the first on line community I joined. I seem to spend most of my time on flickr these days, and a bit on facebook. Not keen on facebook, but some of my friends use it. I can add all my photos on flickr, not just garden related, although those are there as well.
Not growing at the moment, I lost all my Fuchsias in the winter a few years ago. Nothing in the greenhouses now, the plan is to move, eventually, so I decided to get that out of the way before I start growing any more plants.
I do remember having problems when I ordered from T&M, I don't think I'll be using them in the future.
Thank you for your comment :-)
