Show Dates??

Looking at the internet the other day i thought i would look if any of the show details had been updated. The Shrewsbury show is on 15th & 16th August this year, as i thought. But when i looked at The Minsterley Show i was surprised to see that it is advertised as on the 9th August this year, i had been assuming it would be on the 23rd because every year i have entered so far it has been the week following The Shrewsbury Show. What a shock to see it’s the week before this year. The plants have all been planted in expectation of Shrewsbury being the first show as is usually the case. Hopefully some of the quicker varieties such as Linda Jackson or Red Admiral will be out in time. I feel i was lucky to have looked at the web site, because it was only by chance that i did. I will need to be more aware of the shows changing in future, i had assumed that they always followed eachother in the same order each year. The Minsterley is two weeks earlier than i had been planning for. I have just finished writing to the other local shows as none of the others have a web site, or i haven’t found them anyway. If The Pontesbury Show follows The Minsterley as it generaly does it will be the same week as The Shrewsbury Show. Hopefully it will be the 23rd this year, otherwise i shall not be showing at The Pontesbury Show this year.
I’ll post the letters and wait to see what the dates are, if they reply!
