I live on Mersea Island which is in Essex when we have very high tides there is a strood leading to the Island which becomes flooded so then we are a true Island as we cannot get on or off except by boat. The Island is famous for its oysters and The Company Shed restaurant which has been on television many times. We have quite a dry climate it can rain two miles away and stay dry here. We have quite a small garden which I love tending also an allotment where we grow all our vegetables.
