My Chaotic Garden

This are the view on my chaotic garden.. As you can see it’s a mess.. And a lot of stones scattered around the ground. I want to improve it but I don’t know where to start.

It will be hard work but it will be lovely.
Perhaps if you started on one main bed - once you have made your plan, it wouldn't seem so daunting?

as said , sit down and make a list of what you would like to have.
sorry to be ignorant but I dont recognize the flag so where are you in the world. this will aslo affect what you can do and plant.

i agree with the above think it could look really great with some work, could you use some of the stones to make little paths through the planting you are going to do perhaps. look forward to seeing your progress. You have some nice trees to start you off.

I agree with the others....decide what to keep and just tidy.

I think you have amazing bones to work with. Take out a pencil and paper at different times of the days and map out where you like to sit during the hours you are out there. Take note of where the sun and shade is during these times too. Look at pictures and see what you like; mood, colour...Once you decide what type of garden you want, for example, formal, cottage, woodland...it will all come together.

I`d do an area first for you to see when looking into the garden, preferably with a seating area for you to relax whilst working out your plans and what you want to do with the rest of it, tackle a bit at a time and it will come together... Its also a good idea to see what is growing in neighbouring properties, that way you`ll have an idea of what works where you live...

I would say paint the walls a nice colour that will show up the foliage of the plants, maybe different colours for different sections of the planned garden

You need to make a plan of what you want out of your garden - where you want to put a seating area, for example. Also, for us to help you, we'd need some more information - such as what your soil is like in terms of acid/alkaline, the aspect, where you have sun and shade, and so on.
It does look to me as if you'll need to do some serious soil improvement, firstly, working on those stones! I'd say there are too many for two reasons - firstly, any new planting would need nutrients, and secondly for the 'look' of the garden. It's also so much easier to plant things if the soil isn't full of stones. You'll never get rid of them of course, as more will come to the surface, but I'd start by digging and more digging once the plan is made.
