Oh thanks Sue yes was gutted,had everything ready an was just waiting for them to arrive,also bought some potting up pots,had to put them away in shed (out of eyes view):~(

Oh Mobee, what a shame, I don't like internet buying but when it comes to Ebay, I always use paypal, then you know the seller HAS got their money and there is no chance of them saying it hasn't arrived. I hope you can trace it, £12 is £12 and to me at least is a lot.
Did you keep the little stub bit? they can trace it from that.

Oh dear good luck Mobee, Yes Ian it's very true that paypal is the way to buy from Ebay, it is more or less guarantee'd.

Don't give up yet Mobee,Check at the Post office On Monday and if they say the seller has cashed it then open a dispute through Ebay. It seems to me that they are a bit eager to cancel if its only been a week or so.
PM me their Ebay name and I'll have a l@@k.

the postal service should be able to see whether its been cashed as Im sure you get a receipt or something with them. Lets hope that it gets solved
and if they are cheating you then lets hope they get cheated too

sadly this is an all to often occurance. this has happened to hubby twice but he was able to prove the po had been cashed. ebay were very good but one of the chaps was back trading a month later. he uses paypal or credit card now..

~my daughter sold a phone for me on ebay~it was bought and the buyer paid by paypal and asked to collect as they lived locally~a pile ot teenage lads turned in Tesco's carpark and went off with my phone~a few days later paypal stopped the transaction as both the ebay and paypal account had been hacked according to them~no redress because they said it negates their gaurantee if you hand it over in person.So we are £145 down~went to the police~nothing!

h'mmm ebay bends over backwards for the buyers but watch out if you sell! Make sure you send it and get proof of postage! Apparently not just us....

Thankfully I've only ever sold a couple of things that I had no use for and the buyer (both items) came to the door and paid cash. It seems its not such a safe place to be after all. Thats just awfull......... :~((
