My smallest plant..

In my computer room, I have a tiny Orchid that my wife gave me for Christmas last year. The little guy just loves its’ bi-weekly watering that includes compost tea, liquid seaweed, and fish emulsion.. :-)

The tiny pot is not drained at the bottom, so I have to monitor the moisture level very carefully. Too much water and this little guy’s soil could go anaerobic and produce unwanted fungus. Too little water and it will starve..

So far, I’ve been able to keep it within the lower and upper limits and the leaves are looking very healthy.
I just love this tiny thing!

my mum never did well with orchids until someone told her she watered them too much ~ now she just puts the plant under the running tap, lets the water run through and then drains it on the draining board ~ once a week. never let them stand in water ~ now her orchid is fine!

The key to growing Orchids is very little water, but they DO love a monthly dose of diluted compost tea and sea-weed extract. ~N2O~
