After collecting about 30 lbs of scrap copper wire from work over the last two weeks, I headed down to the local metal recycling place with my box of wire and cashed it in.
Copper is currently going for about $1.25 per pound and I left the place with a cool $30.00 for my box of wire!
So, where did I go next? The local nursery of course to buy some plants!
That box of copper wire scraps not only paid for the gas to the metal scrapper, but paid for these new additions in my main flower-bed:
The Caladiums were just begging to be transplanted into some “real” organic soil and be taken out of their nursery “chemical fertilized” 4 inch pots. ;-)
The little cluster is looking pretty happy after this evening’s planting.

Well done N2 in making some gardening money from what would have probably just been thrown away.
The caladiums look pretty happy in their new home.
Keep up the good work and Happy Gardening.
