The little mystery plant that I found in my compost pile looked like this last growing season, planted in a pot with a few others. I looked through my “plant archives” tonight and found it when it was thriving last year:
Unfortunately, I had no idea that it was an indoor plant and it did not fare well in the intense Texas summer heat..
It was so beautiful when it was thriving…
I’ll see if It will do better this year now that I know what the little guy likes!
That’s my little “spring miracle baby”!

Pamq, It has variegated leaves but has never bloomed. Not sure what is is, but as Viv 1 commented, it's alive once again, so I'll be giving it the best organic TLC that I can to give it and find out what it can do under optimum growing conditions. Interesting little "critter"! The leaves are just beautiful.

I think I grew one once as a houseplant, does it have a white flower ( or bract --i'm not sure)---
