Hi everyone, just to let you know I have been down to Homebase this lunch hour and they have all their bedding plants half price and lots of trays petunias 20p, geraniums and trailing geraniums for 50p. I managed to get another mega big blue pot reduced from £29 to £9.93 and another pot reduced from £19.99 to £6.93 and cos it had a slight chip on the top they reduced it even further to £5.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Grannyb I am definately on a high:) Cannot wait to get home and start planting lol

Hey Nana d. how quickly you learn. Quids in. Well done. Did you get a bargain on the pottycompost?
You can spot a real potaholic by their looking for a bargain antics. Turning pot upside down, peering inside looking for the faintest scratch anything to get a further reduction. Shaking head movement to the left and right to check no one else has spotted the same pot. Hiding at the back whilst looking for another bargain.
Chips are well worth dancing in circles for, I mean a further reduction of a fiver. "Eh, I'm reet proud of ya our Lass" as we'd say in Y'shire.
Must dash, felt a bit low today, but the thought of a bargain makes like so much sweeter. I'm off to Homebase. Beep beep....Look out bargain hunter on the road.
Quite right Libet, once bitten by the potty bug there's no cure or treatment. Not that I've ever been afflicted.LOL

I do know a lovely home for the terminally bewildered, but I don't think they're quite bad enough yet...teetering on the edge, mind!!

Ha ha I have visions of Grannyb screeching to a halt outside Homebase tyres smoking :)

Didn't get to Homebase, left drive at such speed burnt my tyres out. Oh well, there's always tomorrow, tomorrow there's always tomorrow. Am I losing my mind or are these the words from a famous gardening song???
Do you remember Micheal Bentine's The Potty Timers. If you do your older than I think, but they did bear some resemblance, little people running round in long macs like headless chickens. Bit like GOYERs when they spot a bargain. LOL
Going to bed now, have to be up early to get to Homebase. Where's my alarm clock & Satnav???? Tomorrow, tomorrow, there's always tomorrow.

Night night, Grannyb! I remember the Pottys! I loved Micheal Bentine's mad cackle!
