First harvest

It is always so nice to have a first harvest of anything… This was the mangetout… Thank you for the help, I finally got hung of the differences between normal pea… in my garden’s case, it was 3 differences..
Mangetout has more smooth skin on the pod and it became quite big straight away looking like mangetout
Pea plant of mine was much thicker stems than mangetout, and rough skin of pod is still small but the bean itself is more sticking out than mangetout
So, here it is. I also harvested garlic flower (it was nice in stir fly) and coliander.
We are also now ready for rasberries too… Maybe later I’ll post it, but last year we have picked them everyday almost the panet full!
Oh how lovely that don’t have to go to supermarket!

Hi Titchy,
Thank you! I think we are very lucky. Last year we tried the french beans for the first time, and it was just like being french bean farmer...
We have a very strong cray soil and although it is very difficult to dig and do stuff but I think veggies loves them... I have now going to post the rasberries!!!

Mmmm love mangetout, unfortunately have to go to the supermarket for mine, and most veggies. Raspberries too. And I know homegrown is so much better, you're lucky with your crop and done well
