I have lived in my bungalow 41 years [ just think we only paid £3350 ] After all these years we have seen loads of different birds and wildlife in our garden, cant believe what we saw last week.Hubby got up xtra early and looked out , and saw a Great Crested Woodpecker pecking at the fat ball hanging in the tree. The next morning I saw it, a great sight to see.
We have regually Goldfinches , Greenfinches , Chaffinches,Magpies ,Collared Doves, loads Blackbirds ,Starlings, Sparrows., and twice the dreaded Sparrow Hawk.
We also have a small pond and have loads of frogs, all different sizes and colours………….+ a Newt has been seen. Hence tadpoles that were in the pond have no doubt been eaten

Hi Pammie...you've just described my mother's garden! She has a very quiet spot & the woodpecker loves that.
It's so good to have this diversity of wildlife around us.

We see woodpeckers very occasionally too, they seem to like hanging on the bottom of bird feeders. I love to sit and watch all the wildlife coming and going too but it's a bit of a worry with my cat when there are fledglings about.
