Narcissi

I wonder if you can advise.
Our cut garden was quite successful
Grew some beautiful Bridal crown magnificent perfume also a new Narcisi Beauvalon
I have two bays about two hundred bulbs in each.
As they have now finished I could do with the space they are in.I do not want to dig them up.
Would it be safe to cover them with soil ( the leaves are still very green ) they are in a raised bed! So I can plant annuals etc on top.
I do not want to loose any, also I have lots of other plants to bring on.
Thanks

Thanks Hywel
I will have to see if I can get between the rows of bulbs.
I thought perhaps that may be wrong to cover them.
We need some long sunny days to help the drying of the foliage.
Today we have had continual heavy rain, promises to be nice tomorrow.

I don't think covering them with soil will be good for them.
The bulbs need to be built up for next year,
and if you cover the leaves with soil, you will deprive them of light and air.
Therefore they will not be able to grow properly,
and the bulbs will not form properly for next year.
Maybe I'm wrong, and someone else may give you different advice.
