Agree with Sheila the Lewisia is a cracker.how come the lady slipper orchids were not in a competetive class

Brian-the non competitive plants belong to Ray Drew who is our judge.He always puts on a top display.When we have our monthly meetings,we always have mini shows were he talks through the plants and its well worth hearing.'Stradbrook Dainty' got an excellent review one month.

Should have known done the same thing with primulas in the past when judging
I like Dainty it only just survived as a seedling being the runt so to speak but proved strong in the long run .

What a super idea, growing a trough of Spring alpines. Is that a class of exhibit?

No,that's a group of plants grown by the person that judges our group show.One of the best growers in the AGS.They are probably in individual pots,plunged in the trough.
