Funny you should sa tha Brian.......I am also in Essex and I have only seen three lily beetles this year. I usually find hundreds and at the other house I was picking off 8/10 a time off one plant but, thankfully, we have had some respite from that this year!

Brian-the foliage has been slaughtered.I'm sure over the last few years that is the reason why the number of flowering bulbs has decreased.The white ones especially.

Strange....I really can't understand why I've been so lucky this year but I'll accept it and hope tfor the same next year.
I used to get them on my Crown imperial Fittaleries too(at the other house)
