About me

Untill I retired I was a joiner/cabinet maker and I used to leave the gardening to my wife.
When I finished chopping up wood and had a bit more time on my hands I decided I needed a new hobby.
I took one of my old fish tanks (aquarium) and cut it down to about 4" (10cm) high and half filled it with potting compost.
Then I scraped a quantity of spores from the leaves of our Birds Nest Fern (Asplenium nidus).
This was scattered over the surface of the well wetted compost in the fish tank, now renamed a propagator. The tank, oops sorry propagator was then covered with a piece of glass.
While I waited for germination I took up golf.
If you go to www.roundaboutshopping.co.uk you can see the results of my labour.
