Penbob's Profile

We have recently moved into our new home after spending 46 years in our previous house. Being keen gardners we had a very established mature garden consisting of pine trees as background, and mixed borders of shrubs and perennial plants. The new garden consisted of lawn fenced in with laurel hedges at back and sides approx 10ft tall (I've already trimmed the side to a more manageable 8ft but the back hedge belongs to the neighbour who is keen to keep it at its present height). No borders, just a couple of crab apple trees in the centre of the lawn. We have already cut out some beds and planted shrubs and small trees, crab apples have been changed for eating apples. Looking forward to the challenge in the coming months.
