Marguerite:
I have a couple of different varieties...I do know many species and varieties are available.
I've seen some nice specimens around...however, my luck with them hasn't been so good. They usually get burned to dealth in too much sun. This plant is growing under my large Norfolk Island Pine - Araucaria heteraphylla.
I hope it doesn't burn any more than it has in our very long
heat waved that just ended today.

Great colors. You are just ending a heat wave? We are in the middle of one, with forest fires all around due to the heat. It has been between 104 and 110 degrees F. all week. We don't usually get past 100 degrees in the summer, and that for a day or two at most. It's burning a lot of my plants. My dahlias are suffering quite a lot. I water morning and night, but I have still lost a few.

Thanks!
We are just ending a 3 1/2 week long heat wave...however, in a couple of days it will be hot and humid again. It's just the typical "July Fry".
You must located in the western part of Canada. I know the Pacific Northwestern part of the U.S. is having an unpresented heat wave with all-time high temps. ever recorded being broken.
I know about burning plants...every year some to many of my plants get burned from heat waves. Last fall was probably the worst...I lost about 6 plumeria plants in a very protracted heat wave (The worst fall heat wave in 20 years).

That's a happy Croton,Andy. My Curly Boy has really filled in. The other,Petra, is ok..but not as nice as the one I had 4 years ago. If I knew then,I never would have kept it in the rains.

I haven't seen this photo in a very long time. This plant isn't very happy right now. It need to be transplanted into a much large pot. My Mammy is looking really good; however, it's still getting too much sun.
