I cant remember how long I've had it, more years than I care to remember thats for sure :0) Unfortunately I have to cut it back sometimes as it's so close to the front window, Its best in the autumn when the colour is very bright and it draws they eye.

Those cut backs are probably why it is so full like a wave of leaves. Doing it well I think. Great job.

Billie I am virtual beginner at gardening, That bush has been there for at least 15 years many-be even 20............. I just lop off where I think it needs it !
Your specimen looks healthy to my untrained eye though........and if you make allowances for growth when you decide on a permanent place for it, then maybe no lopping off will be needed.....

she's even bigger than she looks KM.....on my blog you can compare the size with the size of my window which is 7 ft 8 inches.....
