When we lived near the sea, we were encouraged to throw garden debris over the cliff to help stabilize it, and we threw monbretia (crocosmia) over whenever I was thinning it, and before long it had colonised quite an area and looked good.

what a tenacious plant it is. I think if it was rare and hard to grow we would appreciate it more:-)

I love bright oranges and yellows in the garden, in fact I love all `hot` colours, this one fits the bill nicely. :o)

pretty arent they lincs, i took lots up when making our raised border and just chucked them under trees till i decided where they were going, anyway they have all settled where i left them and flowering lol, so thats where they will stay now, easy planting :o)
