This is Plains Coreopsis (Coreopsis tinctoria), I have a bit of it as well that came from a packet of mixed seed. From the internet: This wide ranging annual is native to the eastern and central United States. It's vivid, bicolored flowers of dark red and yellow stand out in a garden, meadow or other natural setting. A small number of flowers will be entirely dark red. Plains Coreopsis grows well in full sun to light shade and prefers moderate to moist soils.
