The yellow stuff is that foam filler as there was a hole in the garage roof when we got here in September, so it was a quick fix.
The rest is moss and the birds & squirrels love it to hide bits and bobs in....
The sparrows are hysterical, as they crowd the feeders flittering and a fluttering for a place to feed and then any sudden movement, and whoooosh, they're off to the garage roof or tree next door to wait for the coast to clear!!
