Thanks Hywel and Flcrazy The shed looks OK from the outside but since last week I have a few of my daughters items stored in there 'temporary' since she came back home to live with us - so it's looking a bit full at the moment until we get some time to get it sorted - (I'm sure a lot of people here have had similar!).

It looks gorgeous, whatever's in it!

9 Aug, 2009

Well you've said it -There's a table and chairs on the one side, with plant pots seeds, trays, kettle etc. On the other side is a workbench with tools and shelves. I have 2 stools in there a radiator, electric lights - a home from home as you might say.

Sounds idyllic!

9 Aug, 2009

It is I am trying to find room in there for a microwave oven and a toaster that we have spare -then it really will be a home from home (perhaps I could hire it out as a holiday home with stunning views of greenhouse, runner beans and daughter's pet rabbit lol)

9 Aug, 2009

Hi Tate! Welcome to GoY!!
Richard really lives in that shed, he's a gnome!

5 Sep, 2009

Hi welcome from me too Tate.
Yes I did see your blog marie. I can't move in the shed at the moment its full up with the garden furniture that has been outside in the summer and now it's back in there for a while out of the rain until I can think where else to put it. I'm sure a lot of other people here have similar problems -perhaps I'll start a blog to see if anyone has any ideas.

5 Sep, 2009

Ive got my old kitchen piled up in mine! Cant get time & weather to coincide so I can empty it & put the units in!!

5 Sep, 2009

I have put up one of the spare kitchen top cupboards in the shed. I am like you marie don't like to just throw them out.
I have used the old bottom cupboards, and worktop in the garage down one side as an extra area (but now that has extra things on lol !)

5 Sep, 2009

My wall units are now a raised bed! The base units are going in the shed, and the worktops, along with the shelves from the wall units! But I want to insulate & clad the inside too! And put a light in! I've got electricity going in, my freezer lives there!

5 Sep, 2009

I've partly insulated my shed with all the polystyrene sheets that came from the kitchen units, cooker, fridge etc, and some polystyrene tiles that came of the ceiling when we had a leak in the flat roof lol!

5 Sep, 2009

Well done! I took that leather sofa apart today, & found the reason I've needed my inhaler lately! It was soaking under the leather & full of mould! No wonder I got it for nowt!! But I'm still recycling!

5 Sep, 2009

Did you find anything in the sofa - sometimes find things like coins, pens, etc. The wooden frame is useful -is that what you are reycling the wood for making things?.
We have a strawberry tower in our back garden and it is very heavy when full of earth/compost, so I made a trolley on castors for it to sit on and it is much easier to turn so that the sun can get to the strawberries all around.

5 Sep, 2009

I found a penny!
Yes, I'm using the wood, and I'm going to make bags & recover a pouffe & turn it into storage with the leather. The cushions had to go, but I got a lot of useablle stuff out of it!
Good idea with the trolley! I have a few heavy pots & a dodgy back, so might do that!!!

6 Sep, 2009

You'll be able to spend that penny to buy some pens and pencils for uni tomorrow marie and you can buy a farthings worth of sweets with the change to keep you going through the rest of the day lol

6 Sep, 2009

LOL! I'm rich!!!! Yay!!

6 Sep, 2009
