Wow you're only 2938 miles from here. The trees must be really dense and colorful.I bet Fall would be nice too.

Nice full trees, but not really big. And the variety is limited to lots of a few. :-) Fall is three weeks end of August. Gold and gone. :-)

OMG, so far away that Alaska.

We aren't close to anything Doon....lol. That must ne why there are so many of this type of sign in town up here and in the yukon. :-)
Already Rhodea. Though there is a reported shift in the pacific tides which could give us a prolonged fall and mild winter. I love those years. :-)

I think you'd have to add a few thousand more kilometres to come close to where I live!! Aussies feel a bit isolated still - even with faster air travel!

No Aussie cities on this sign, is there! I'm guessing about the distance to Hong Kong. Just the globe top to bottom and the pacific....lol. You do have a more isolated country than others.

I think from Alaska to Australia is somewhere around 12,000 kms - Cape Town comes close! When we do travel overseas it takes so long to get anywhere we stay for weeks or months!!

I can understand that. And the lose a day gain a day, I wouldn't relish.

Oh come on ... it's about the same as travelling from the east coast of the U.S. to the west coast twice ... not very far at all!!!!
26 Aug, 2009
:-) One can do that in just 6 days without sleep.....lol

OMG ... Now that would be a road trip and a half ! Would you believe that the distance from the east to west coast of the U.S. is about the same distance from the east to west coast of Oz? One big difference though between these two road trips - you will not see as many towns/cities or people in Oz, but a whole lot more big open spaces.
