lol.....These really look gorgeous. Mine aren't going to do so well I don't think. Maybe if I move them into the greenhouse.....Its sad to be doing that already.

Thanks GT. Ali didn't even know what they were when she popped them in the pot at beginning of year just that they were orchid bulbs - aah, the beauty of nature that is abundant all around us!

It might be worth putting your in the GH in order to help them. It's not like you won't go in there to see them and you can still share your pics as well!

Mine are drowned in this pic as it had been pouring down most of day and just before I took the photo a few days ago!

I love these, they're beautiful. I planted some and they didn't come up for me. I believe that Acidanthera is in the Iridaceae or Iris family and not the orchid family. I think the confusion probably came from one of it's common names; Peacock orchid. Here a link to info on the bulb:
