Yes bit to late if you putting fish in as they go to bottom of pond for a few months in winter.

I love foxgloves and watching the bees disappear inside and exit covered in pollen

I made a small pond in the garden from a washing up bowl Sandra (I put it in a black bin bag first, then dug a hole, its only small but it is interesting to watch the frogs in there.I planted flowers around it, put a large stone inside so the frog can get in and out and in return he eats all my slugs and snails!pictures of frog and pond below:- (hope you can see them if not I'll amend code)

Hi Sandra, Richard is right, you can fit a pond in somewhere, no matter how small your garden. My own garden is 36ft long x 18ft wide and putting some kind of pond in was high on my list of priorities. When the combi boiler went in, the cold water tank in the loft was no longer needed. So I sealed the pipe holes and sunk it into the ground. It's 3ft x 2ft and 2ft deep and home to frogs, dragonflies, water boatmen, water plants and is much visited by birds. It overspills to one side and here I've dug in lots of manure and planted moisture loving plants. It's great to have your own slug eating army of frogs in the garden and I do spend lots of time staring into its depths (it's the little boy in me !). I see these comments date back to August, so hopefuly it's all installed by now. Best wishes.

hi muddy.. thanx for your comment and no i still dont have my pond, but im doing a new project and we have cut down some trees so once i get round to sorting them stumps out i can decide whats going there, hoping a small pond will be in the project ;o)
