my mum loves spiders dont ask me why, there was a spider crawling up the bathroom door i screamed to my brother quick put it down the toilet, which he did.i felt so guilty,my mum would be so upset at my deed,so i got a piece of cardboard and rescued him.guilt gone.

Brilliant photo, there was a massive one in the bathroom, husband was in bed, so too late to vacuum him up.....usually throw towel at them, but he was on the wall, right near the basin and the toothbrushes......guess who didnt clean her teeth that night? nowhere to be seen next morning, made husband search high and low......hey presto came out the next night, was chucked out of the window, sorry spider lovers......

i have now got a spider catcher, its great its about two foot long (not the spider lol) you pull a trigger handle and soft long plastic fingers pick up spidy with out hurting it.then you let them go outside.a must for every home.

It's odd that I hate Tegenaria duellica (House spiders) to the point of hysteria, although I've reigned it in by studying them in my garage and calling them Tegenaria. This would suggest it's a deep rooted phobia very likely from a young childhood bad experience but one that can be - slightly - dulled with controlled proximity, understanding of their lives and swapping the name. But I could never touch one. Inexplicably I felt something on my hair last year and it was a large you-know-what, I totally freaked out but as she made her dash across the floor and subsequently was crushed by me I felt really sad for her because she was as scared as me, but for her life.
Orb spiders I love holding, they are quite heavy relatively with strong little legs. No fear, in fact they're adorable.
Figure that. End of lecture.

I really enjoyed that.there is no way I could hold any spider, well I have held a money spider not by choice I might had.they are quite appealing and you never know you might get a windfall.I was once traumatised by my brother who squashed a large spider between his hands,I still have flashbacks,I felt so shocked and horrified.

If you believe in a windfall then you must also believe it will rain if you kill one, I was told that straight-faced by a lady in Sheffield lol.
Quite the picture you paint of you brother ;)
